Virginia Selects Sircon Corporation to Help Streamline Insurance Licensing and Regulatory Management
Web-Based Sircon for States™ Solution Provides Improved Service for Insurance Regulators, Companies and Producers
Okemos, MI., August 21, 2007 - Sircon Corporation today announced that the Commonwealth of Virginia Bureau of Insurance has signed a five -year agreement to use its Sircon for States™ Web-based solution, making Virginia the 18th state insurance regulator to rely on Sircon software. The move will dramatically increase the number of online services Virginia provides by connecting insurance carriers, producers, education providers, brokers, agencies and state regulatory agencies through the Sircon network.
As a new Sircon state, Virginia will also join the State Insurance Regulators Consortium (SIRC). SIRC helps promote uniformity and best practices among insurance regulators and drives the coordination of external programs and systems that connect to the Sircon for States™ platform.
The Virginia Bureau of Insurance (Bureau) is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract with Sircon in an ongoing effort to improve customer service at the Bureau. "The Sircon system will replace the current legacy system and will allow consumers, insurers, and agents to do business with the Bureau in a more efficient and streamlined manner" said Brian Gaudiose, Deputy Commissioner of Agent Regulation and Administration.
Using Sircon, the Virginia Bureau of Insurance will be better equipped to manage and administer insurance regulations relating to enforcement case actions, complaints, producer data, and rate and form filing. The Sircon for StatesTM platform opens up direct online access to Virginia for insurance carriers, education providers and producers to process electronic appointments, terminations, license applications, renewals, continuing education credits, and many other services.
